• Same-day / Due on Receipt — immediate payment, best for small jobs
• Net 7 — one week, good for quick-turnaround freelance
• Net 15 — balances urgency with client processing time

Invoices due "upon receipt" get paid 2x faster than Net 30 on average. Shorter windows create urgency without being aggressive.

Milestone Due Dates

For projects over 30 days, tie due dates to milestones rather than one final date. Example: 30% due at kickoff, 40% at midpoint, 30% at delivery.
